Discover interdisciplinary approaches to human development as you explore the Feldenkrais Method and the Martial Arts. This special workshop is open to Feldenkrais® teachers, martial artists, athletes, movement scientists, dancers, psychologists and all those who love to move, feel and think.
In this unique workshop, we'll weave together:
You will gain insight into how Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais’ history as a martial artist and his knowledge about human evolution and development laid the foundations of the Feldenkrais Method of somatic education. Experimenting with Awareness Through Movement® lessons and martial arts practices, you'll discover how ideas about reversibility, skeletal transmission of force, harnessing your own power, and neuroscience can immediately refine your skill, no matter what field you're in.
Come and meet us at the crossroads of the Feldenkrais Method and the Martial Arts for a lively week that is bound to knock your mindset off-balance, and improve your movement, balance and coordination!
Please respond immediately if you are interested in joining us in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island, for this special opportunity to work with three extraordinary teachers.
